A permanent trail at one place — a museum, a café, a farm, a temple complex. Visitors walk it at their own pace and collect something real at your counter when they finish.
A handful of small plaques around your grounds, each with a code. Scanning one opens a page in Khmer, English or French with a puzzle on it. Every puzzle gives one word, and the words together make a final answer.
The plaques are fixed and the puzzles are not consumed, so the trail runs all season and every visitor gets the whole of it. The 3D-printed token is the prize at the end rather than something hidden — which means you know exactly how many to keep behind the counter, and nothing is lost to weather or to somebody pocketing it.
One screen and a shared PIN. A visitor who has finished shows a code; whoever is on the counter types it in and hands over the token. There is no account to create and nothing to install.
A printed booklet alongside the codes is a good idea and we will lay one out for you. Paper needs no battery and no signal, a child can write in it, and it goes home in a drawer. What the codes add is an immediate yes or no on an answer, narration in three languages, and a count of who finished.
Your venue is named on the trail and on every station it holds. Hosts are the reason this works and the app says so.
Free to play, always — the price is on running a trail, never on walking one. The first ten venues pay nothing at all for a season.
